The final outcomes of the European Union (EU) Referendum in 2016, which has resulted in Britain preparing to leave the EU, are still to be established, but there will inevitably be some impact on population health and well-being. Since the result, there have been a number of publications released from Government and professional bodies, looking at the possible implications of Brexit on different sectors.

Through the Brexit Health Hub, Public Health Network Cymru looks at Brexit through a primarily social determinants lens, with the aim of informing practitioners about what Brexit could mean for population health and well-being in its broadest sense. The material on these pages is presented from a balanced, politically-neutral perspective. The purpose of these pages is not to provide any definitives, but should help to provide a guide to current discussions and considerations regarding the range of potential policy implications of leaving the EU. Alongside other relevant pages, such as looking at Brexit through a Wales lens, we hope that these pages will inform practitioners and organisations as they prepare for Brexit.
