Wales Collaboration for Health and Housing

The objectives of WCHE are to:

a)            Identify national priorities which will benefit from a collaborative approach;

b)            Contribute to, influence, advise  and assist with development of national policy;

c)            Establish and facilitate a shared community of good practice;

d)            Support, share and implement good practice with demonstrable outcomes;

e)            Facilitate public health development and  capacity building

f)             Provide and promote evidence-based interventions through the most effective use of resources;

g)            Ensure that health impact is considered in all policy decisions within local authorities and partnership fora.

 

Membership:   

Membership of the WCHE will be drawn from health professionals working within the NHS, Local Health Boards, Public Health Wales and local government. Membership will also be open to representatives from academia and the Welsh Government. The executive of the WCHE may co-opt other representatives as required, including non-health professionals.
