At the end of 2018, the Government launched the UK’s first loneliness strategy in order to improve the lives of elderly citizens. This strategy emphasises the importance of promoting good mental wellbeing, encouraging social connectedness and removing stigma from older peoples lives in the changing context of social relationships.Join us this August to review your region's approach to social connectedness and inclusivity for older people. This event will provide a platform to share ideas, best practice and new approaches to recent policy developments for charities, business, local authorities and health and social care experts in order to improve the lives of the elderly members of our communities.
The conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, policy makers and the public to exchange and share experiences of challenges and solutions to growing older in rural areas.
